iTFE Announced as Official Training Partner for Y Careers

Operating since 1998, iTFE has grown into one of Australia’s premier private training organisations (RTO #6372), providing accessible, consistent, and high-quality training across the nation in various sectors such as Aged Care, Business & Leadership, Disability, Hospitality, and Transport & Logistics.

Recently, we have entered into a collaboration and partnership with Y Careers, a new, innovative non-profit social enterprise and a subsidiary of Y Australia. This partnership focuses on exploring training opportunities for their pioneering care industry traineeship program.

Y Careers is supported by the Australian Government Department of Employment and Workplace Relations with a substantial $15.2 million grant, aimed at ‘Supporting the setup of Y Careers and its operations’. This backing underscores the importance and potential impact of our joint efforts to enhance training and employment in the care sector.

iTFE’s CEO, Craig McGrath expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “We are thrilled to work with Y Careers. This partnership fits perfectly with our goal to empower people through education and meet the workforce needs of various industries. We are eager to use our training expertise to assist Y Careers in their mission to create meaningful job opportunities for young Australians in the care sector.”

Executive Director of Y Careers Amaresh Devanesen said, “This partnership marks a significant milestone in our startup journey, and we are thrilled to have ITFE as our official training partner.”

Y Careers, along with its partners, aims to create 30,000 job placements in the care sector for up to 15,000 young people nationally. The program will provide training and employment through a holistic approach inclusive of wraparound support to young people across Australia.

Participants in the traineeship program will benefit from a competitive pay rate, a fully funded qualification delivered by iTFE, transferable skills, and a skills portfolio that opens doors to various career pathways within the care industry and beyond.

Amaresh further highlighted, “What appealed to us about iTFE is their flexible delivery model, ensuring accessible and consistent training quality nationwide. Their team of expert trainers, each proficient in their specific fields, is dedicated to imparting essential knowledge and skills, helping individuals advance in their careers and supporting businesses in achieving their goals.”

We are proud to partner with Y Careers to make a meaningful impact on both young people and the Australian care industry. We look forward to the positive changes this initiative will bring. Amaresh also added, “We’re excited about the partnership because of our value alignment and their ambition, like us, to drive systemic change within the care sector.”

The Y Careers pilot program is set to commence in the coming months. More information, course outlines, and registration details for the 2025 intake will be available soon.
